Vacheron Constantin launches the new Quai de l’Ile series watch (4500S / 000A-B364), which interprets the tradition of horology in a modern way. This watch has a stainless steel case with a blue dial, decorated with fluorescent hour markers, and comes with a leather or rubber strap.
Quai de l’ Ile, a historic city location
The Quai de l’ Ile collection is named after the history of Vacheron Constantin. The center of Geneva, the junction of the banks of the Rhône River-also the birthplace of the famous penthouse artisans of the 19th century-has become a bustling city center.
Structured stainless steel case
The 41 mm diameter stainless steel case is polished, satin-finished, strong, comfortable and light. Inheriting the classic aesthetics of Vacheron Constantin, it combines three iconic designs: a round bezel, a pillow case and a wine barrel-shaped ring. This harmonious ‘overlay combination’ design is polished and refinished to add light and glory. To ensure optimal comfort, the multi-layered lugs add a touch of movement to the case.
This stainless steel watch is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, assembled from 172 parts. Calibre 5100 movement is entirely designed, developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, with hours, minutes, central seconds and date display functions. 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), designed for active lifestyles. This movement has excellent impact resistance and is equipped with a dual barrel to ensure a power reserve of more than 60 hours. Through the sapphire crystal case back, the five convex corner decoration presents the modern Quai de l’ Ile decoration style. This movement uses delicate retouching techniques-chamfering, polishing, round grain and Geneva ripples, all in line with Geneva’s fine watchmaking tradition.
The blue dial has a multi-level structure and is decorated with cream. The dial consists of three different areas, with hour markers and Arabic numerals made of white fluorescent material, and innovative three-dimensional effects ensuring excellent readability. Another unique feature is the replacement of the traditional aperture date display with a double-layer date display. The structure of the dial also includes a transparent mineral glass plate printed with the date of the month, and the date plate mounted on the 5100 movement below this glass plate accurately indicates the date.
The new Quai de l’Ile stainless steel blue dial watch is water-resistant to 30 meters, with a blue alligator leather strap or a blue rubber strap, and a stainless steel folding clasp.
