For decades, Tangente has been NOMOS ‘best-selling watch series. At this year’s Basel Watch Fair, the award-winning Tangente series ushered in another automatic mechanical watch, as thin as a manual winding model.
The contours are slender, slender, simple and elegant. This is the iconic watch series of Tangos-Tangente. This series came out in 1992 and won more than 40 domestic and international awards. The simple dial design and clear linear outline exude incredible charm. At this year’s Baselworld, NOMOS’s most classic and best-selling series debuted in a completely new way: Tangente, which has always watched people by manual winding, has now finally launched its automatic model.
The new Tangente Automatik watch is slim and elegant, with a beautiful figure, equipped with a new and precise DUW 3001 movement. The case thickness is 6.9 mm, which is only about 0.3 mm higher than the manual winding model. Tangente Automatik’s combination advantage is quite breakthrough. So far, no other automatic mechanical model can be so thin, precise and economical.
How to create this slim watchmaking miracle? The design engineer of NOMOS has two know-how: first, placing most of the movement parts between the base plate and the three-quarter plywood to avoid adding any extra thickness to it; second, the production tolerance of the parts has been reduced by 50%, To ensure that even in such a slim case, the movement can still provide high-precision travel time performance.
So for NOMOS watch fans, this is really excellent news. From now on, watch fans no longer need to hesitate between manual and automatic models because of their size. The new Tangente Automatik watch differs from the manual winding classic in three main ways: the minute marker font is smaller; the word ‘Automatik’ is printed under the NOMOS brand logo; in addition, the small seconds dial is also slightly adjusted and improved.
This watch will go on sale in the fall of 2015.
