Introduction To Audemars Piguet Offshore Chronograph

At the 2011 SIHH in Geneva, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore has launched a new chronograph. Since the introduction of the Royal Oak Offshore series in 1992, the case size has been the focus of controversy. Today, these three watches are re-emerging with a 44mm diameter oversized case.

There are three new Royal Oak offshore chronographs, which use steel, forged carbon and rose gold as the ring material, while the bezel and crown are all made of black ceramic. In addition, the rose gold and forged carbon models use a black & ldquo; M & eacute; ga Tapisserie & rdquo; checkered dial, while the steel models use a white & ldquo; M & eacute; ga Tapisserie & rdquo; checkered dial.

The new watch eliminates the Arabic numerals, making the dial look simpler and more capable. Compared to this, the more important change is the timing button. The new type cancels the original round button design, and uses a more powerful rectangle, which makes the hand feel more comfortable and the visual effect is more prominent. The button itself uses a double-layer structure, divided into upper and lower bases that come in contact with your fingers. The button bridge is exquisitely sandblasted and matte polished and polished. The four screws used to fix the base also add a bit of domineering to the watch.

The classic octagonal bezel and eight titanium screws still appear in their original positions. The small second dial with a more restrained color is located at 12 o’clock, the 30-minute chronograph dial and the 12-hour chronograph dial are located at 9 o’clock and 6 o’clock, respectively. The date display and AP logo are set at 3 o’clock.

The new Royal Oak offshore chronograph is equipped with Audemars Piguet’s 3126/3840 self-winding movement, which was developed on the basis of the 3120 movement. The movement uses horizontal to horizontal balance wheel bridges to optimize the shock-proof effect. The adjustable weight balance with eight small weights keeps the movement of the movement continuously stable. And it has the function of instant date change and quick adjustment, and has a 60-hour power reserve.
